By leveraging passive beamforming networks\, these antennas reduce reliance on a large number of RF components while significantly lowering hardware expenses. However\, practical deployment often faces critical trade-offs among physical volume\, gain\, and bandwidth. To overcome these limitations\, effective solutions are presented through structural planarization\, radiation aperture loading\, and optimized beam-scanning performance. Furthermore\, methodologies are explored for integrating multifunctional radiation properties into quasi-optical antenna systems.\n \n \n Biography\n Yuanxi Cao received the B.E. degree in electromagnetic fields and wireless technology and the M.E. degree in electromagnetic fields and microwave technology from Northwestern Polytechnical University\, Xi'an\, China\, in 2016 and 2019\, respectively\, and the Ph.D. degree in electronic science and technology from Xi'an Jiaotong University\, Xi'an\, China\, in 2023. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the School of Information and Communications Engineering at Xi'an Jiaotong University. His current research interests include multi-beam antennas and RF microsystems.\n \n He has served as a Guest Editor of Frontiers in Antennas and Propagation and Electronics. He served as a Session Chair for multiple major academic conferences\, including PIERS 2027\, IEEE MAPE 2026\, IEEE IMWS-AMP 2026\, ISEMC 2026\, IEEE UCMMT 2025\, and IEEE iWEM 2025. He was a recipient of the Young Scientist Award of Photonics and Electromagnetics Research Symposium (PIERS) in 2025.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n *** ALL ARE WELCOME ***\n \n \n Enquiries:\n Prof. Chi Hou Chan\, State Key Laboratory of Terahertz and Millimeter Waves\, City University of Hong Kong\n Email: eechic@cityu.edu.hk \n
