About the Speaker

Ms. CHAN Yuen Shan Clara, MH, JP, is the Chief Executive Officer of Lee Kee Group. Established in 1947, Lee Kee Group has been providing premium quality metals and alloys to manufacturing sectors. The Group’s businesses span quality metals supply, professional consultancy, research and development of metals material. Lee Kee Group is accredited as the first company in Greater China as a Category 5 Associate Trade Member of London Metal Exchange (LME). The Group is appointed by Hong Kong Customs as one of the Hong Kong members of World Customs Organization Regional Private Sector Group – Asia Pacific.

 

Clara is responsible for setting the Group’s strategic direction and formulating its long-term growth strategies. She leads the Group’s sustainability direction and set targets. Clara is an Executive Deputy Chairman of Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI), member of the Green Technology and Finance Development Committee of Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau, the Operations Review Committee of Independent Commission Against Corruption, the Listing Review Committee and China Commodities Advisory Group of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited.

 

About the Talk

 

In an era where sustainability is no longer a choice but a necessity, the manufacturing sector stands at a pivotal crossroads.  This talk will delve into the innovative strategies and technologies that are transforming traditional manufacturing processes into sustainable practices, with a particular focus on non-ferrous metals and their alloys.  Drawing from first-hand experiences and case studies from Lee Kee Group, we will explore how integrating renewable energy sources, adopting circular economy principles, and leveraging advanced materials can significantly reduce the environmental footprint of manufacturing operations.
