Abstract
Recent developments in quasi-optical multibeam antennas offer promising solutions for highly directive wireless applications, serving as a compelling alternative to modern sensing and communications with strong scalability and cost-effective beam-steering capabilities. By leveraging passive beamforming networks, these antennas reduce reliance on a large number of RF components while significantly lowering hardware expenses. However, practical deployment often faces critical trade-offs among physical volume, gain, and bandwidth. To overcome these limitations, effective solutions are presented through structural planarization, radiation aperture loading, and optimized beam-scanning performance. Furthermore, methodologies are explored for integrating multifunctional radiation properties into quasi-optical antenna systems.
